The solid book with real-life life object matching every color. Love that they added color numbers and Pantone.

I love many things about this book, from the consistent format throughout, to the paragraph that describes the color being displayed. It gives six ways in which to render the color depending upon what software or format you're using. The BIG detractor is at the bottom of the page where there is supposed to be common color combinations. It is the exact same for every page! I suppose I was expecting there to be some kind of useful color combo's to use, similar to something Jim Krause uses in his volume. But sadly the row of colors at the bottom are, useless. For the price, I'd not pass this book by, it still has more positive aspects than detractors.

Ever sit down with a client and have them tell you they want something in Ochre or Rust? Or perhaps in Viridian, Bistre, or Cornflower Blue? If so, this book is a god-send. Containing hundreds of colors, broken down into The Shades, Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary colors, this English volume is priceless for any graphic designer who wants his or her designs to really pop. Each color is presented with a definition, brief history, examples, and RGB, CMYK, LAB, HSB, Hexadecimal, Pantone, and Web-safe equivalents. I highly recommend this book as a supplemental and inspirational resource for anyone working in the vasty fields of graphic design.
