As a lifelong music fanatic who thrives on rock/pop minutiae, this book is like candy for my senses. While I may be familiar with many of these landmarks, it's great to have them all bound in one encyclopedic volume. I'm also a person who's been known to trek far & wide just to stand in the spot where a musical hero of mine once did, so this will come in handy for those times I feel I'm jonesing for a trek to a musical Mecca. But whether you're a completist or a casual fan, there's something in here for everyone. Great photos help round out this joyful celebration of these notable locales which help to make our American culture so vibrant & distinctive.

Very cheaply printed. Information was OK, but I didn't love it overall. Very similar to "James Dean Died Here: The Locations of America's Pop Culture Landmarks"

This book is filled with interesting stories and amazing, iconic locations that you can visit. Most of this stuff is probably available somewhere online, but it's nice to have a book to browse through - especially if you're out and about.

Buy this book, get in the car/rv and take off on a rock n roll tour. This book gives you detailed information of legendary rock n roll landmarks (restaurants, concerts, houses they lived in, cemetaries their buried in) including directions to get you there. Chris Epting also has other great books dealing with rock n roll and sports.
