This book completely surpassed my expectations. I had attended a day long lecture with Ann Johnston so I knew that she is knowledgeable and communicates in a clear voice. The book is, of course, full of information but the most interesting aspect for me was to hear not just the "what" techniques she used but the "why" she chose certain techniques over others when making the design decisions. Truly fascinating and insightful it was comforting to know that design decisions are not only intuitive but well thought out, deliberate processes. I highly recommend this work for any artist at any stage of their artful journey.
