The book covers scientists from the following time periods: before 1500 (including Roger Bacon, Dietrich von Frieberg, Thomas Bradwardine...); 1500-1830 (including Johannes Kepler, Blaise Pascal, Isaac Barrow, Carolus Linnaeus, John Dalton...); after 1830 (including Michael Faraday, Gregor Mendel, William Thomson (Lord Kelvin), James Prescott Joule, George Washington Carver...). Short biographies--well written, easily read. Also offers suggestions for further reading at the end of each bio. I believe the original copyright was in 1951, so there are no "modern"/present day biographies, but I still recognized some of the names and he tells you what each scientist is known for right underneath their name.

This book is full of short biographies about scientists who were believers in Jesus Christ. The author points out how a Biblical worldview was necessary for the development of science and then goes through scientist after scientist after scientist who were believers and what they discovered. or he/she can never assume that results will be repeatable.

Even today a scientist who believes only in a naturalistic worldview must borrow the Biblical worldview or he/she can never assume that results will be repeatable.

Another important element that comes through this book is that science is never settled. This is shown though many examples of scientists who made an important discovery, but were off in some minor aspect. Then, a later scientist corrected the error. Anyone who reads this book will never again believe the false narrative that science and Christianity are in conflict. They are not.

I love the book, the information is intriguing, but the pages in my book are all out of order. I wish I could get a replacement.

I bought this as a home school supplement for my daughter's education. It is very encouraging. You might find it to be so also.

Why isn't this taught in our public schools and universities? Have they become so secularized, so intent on pushing Chrisitanity out, that the truth isn't welcome? "Expelled; Intelligence Not Allowed," is a delightlful video companion for this book, and thank you Mr. Ben Stein.

It's a classic! I read it several years ago. It was refreshing to get a copy and go over its contents again.
