Throw her heart
Twin brothers Ronald "Ronnie" Kray (24 October 1933 – 17 March 1995) and Reginald "Reggie" Kray (24 October 1933 – 1 October 2000) were English gangsters who were the foremost perpetrators of organized crime in the East End of London during the 1950s and 1960s.

If you like he Godfather genre, you will surely enjoy this book. The Krays legend still lives on and this book delves into the real life gangsters that were Ronnie and Reggie Kray. Once described as the most dangerous men in Britain, the Kray twins were never shy about posing for the camera. It was reported that Reggie Kray could break your jaw with one punch - no surprise then that Frank Sinatra was said to have hired 18 bodyguards from Krayleigh Enterprises, which was the Kray twin's protection company. The twins were once held in the Tower of London in 1958.

It is a fascinating read. Be prepared to have the hairs stand up on your back as you read the real life brutal story of arguably the 20th centuries most vicious and evil twin brothers.

Please note: My description above is entirely my own work and is not taken from the narrative of the book.

An unbelievable story of two of England's most notorious gangsters. I know it's all true because I ws born in the East end when they were running the place. Horrific but true. Good old Amazon, everything arrived on time and in great condition.

For years I have wanted to read something on the Krays ever since the movie based on the brothers came out. This turned out to be very informative and entertaining read. Of course, every movie can't fit everything in that should be there. This book does that. A highly recommended book, one well worth the price.
Brick my own
The price was fine, the book looks fine, however it reeks of what I believe to be cigarette smoke. The odor has even transferred to my clothing. If odors irritate you,you might want to ask about them before purchasing

Enjoyed it.

The only bigger mystery than how this "book" has actually received five-star reviews is how it ever got published.
Here is about the only positive input I can provide: The movie "The Krays" interested me, so I bought the book. Unfortunately, a real writer didn't pen it. Bar none, it is the worst non-fiction book I have read. There is a statement that author Colin Fry is a distant relative of Charles Dickens. If talent were a measuring stick, Fry would be found to be as far removed from Dickens as the sun is from Pluto.
Yes, there are a few things of interest in this book (especially for an American), but when one resists throwing it across the room because of writer-induced annoyance, it's just not worth it. I could write a thesis ("How Not to Write a Book") on Fry's ineptitude, but he is, after all, only human and I don't enjoy being cruel.
But, that disclaimer aside, all you need to know is this: There are no sources listed, no Notes section, no Index, and apparently no research. There are rhetorical questions to end nearly every chapter. There is more repetition than a store full of broken records and a ridiculous amount of cliches and explanation points. And did I say anything about a lack of objectivity? Or ask why the heck the writer injects himself into the story? Or how it reads like an e-mail?
My favorite thing about this book is that I'll never have to read it again. I've never criticized a book this harshly before. I didn't get my kicks doing it, but I needed to be honest. Buy it at your own risk.
