The ocean has had a very significant role in poetry since the dawn of poetry itself. It’s easy to see why. The ocean - both wild and calm, dangerous and beautiful - is a made up of contradictions and mystery. Ocean poems can not only be dedicated to capturing the heart of sea, but to metaphors for love and trauma, among many other things. More than that, the ocean has played a role in the history of many cultures, making it a setting that is both intimately personal, and vastly universal. Unsurprisingly then, poetry about the ocean takes many shapes

Spade went to the open doorway through which they had vanished and, standing just inside, listened. Twenty feet from the doorway Spade found a staircase, and went up it1 three steps at a time. He turned to the left. Halfway down the hallway a woman lay on her back on the floor.

Spade went to the open doorway through which they had vanished and, standing just inside, listened. Their footsteps became inaudible. Nothing else could be heard. Spade was standing there-his yellow-gray eyes dreamy-when he heard the scream. It was a woman's scream, high and shrill with terror. Spade was through the doorway when he heard the shot. Wallace Binnett knelt beside her, fondling one of her hands desperately, crying in a low, beseeching voice: Darling, Molly, darling!

Return in peace to the ocean my love, I too am part of that ocean, my love, we are not so much separated .

Return in peace to the ocean my love, I too am part of that ocean, my love, we are not so much separated, Behold the great rondure, the cohesion of all, how perfect! But as for me, for you, the irresistible sea is to separate us, As for an hour carrying us diverse, yet cannot carry us diverse forever; Be not impatient – a little space – know you I salute the air, the ocean and the land, Every day at sundown for your dear sake, my love. More About this Poem.

The ocean conceals billions of creatures interacting in ways that we will never fully understand. The waves trickle along my toes. The soft ocean sprays across my nose. The sand was compliant under my feet, Exactly where the ocean and it decide to meet. Much of the ocean is mysterious. We cruise along on boats on the ocean's surface, and sit on beaches watching the ocean's surf meet the land. One of the great things about the ocean is that we cannot build on it. It will remain a vast open space perfect for contemplation. Poems about the Beauty of the Ocean.

Strut to the ocean with Spade... Spade is a crow who grew up in a very snobbish neighborhood. Every crow in Spade's murder (that's Crow for 'flock') is convinced that crows are the smartest, bravest, and best creatures in all of God's creation. They're so convinced that they're better than other animals that when Spade suggests that other species might have talents of their own, he is banished from the murder forever. As Spade wanders alone, he comes across a seagull walking along a road and just can't figure out why the seagull isn't flying. Spade is a curious crow, so he decides to follow the seagull. With help from a ragtag band of fellow travelers, Spade finally discovers why and where his seagull friend is walking. Come along as Spade Struts to the Ocean on a journey that tests his endurance, intelligence, and loyalty. On the way, Spade may learn some surprising things about the glory inside all of God's creatures.
