Brian Jacques never fails to entertain us with unforgettable characters both heroic and evil. The charm of each character's quirky accents make you want to read their dialog out loud. I am collecting as many of his books as I can. My husband is 55 and likes me to read the Redwall series to him. Hilariously funny, even tiny infants can be heroes. Gluttonous hares, swimming otters, tree flying squirrels, digging moles and abbey mice battle evil searats and their fox masters. You must read Jacques. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll celebrate life no matter what your age.

As with other stories of the series, it is pleasing to read of these characters however much the plots can be straightforward.
