Very Cute book! We already owned the book called "Dora's Chicks". So when I seen there was a Dora's Eggs I had to purchase it. My 3 year old daughter has me read both books at least once a day! She loves the repetition in both books. This book covers a range of emotions as first-time-mom, Dora, a hen, is disappointed that no other amimal moms want to see her eggs, then saddened to tears when her eggs crack, then delighted and proud as her chicks become everything she could ever want. Delightful illustrations. Wonderful introduction of farm animals to city children.

Dora the hen is proud of her first eggs and wants to invite all her farmyard friends over to admire them

As she goes around seeing the babies of the other farmyard animals, Dora becomes less and less proud of her first eggs-until they hatch into cute chicks. Readers can touch and feel the texture of Dora's eggs through embossing on the cover and throughout the book.

Book 12 in the USA Today Bestselling Impossible Series Dexter Scott is in love. My father gave me to him as a bargaining chip, as though I was nothing more than flesh to be traded. The only problem is, Katie is falling for another man. As his heart breaks, he turns to sex as his drug of choice to numb the pain. I hate him for that, and I hate the man who took me: Javier Santiago, a member of the violent Latin Kings.

Dora the Hen is proud of her first eggs and wants to invite all her friends over to admire them. But Penny Pig is too busy with her wriggling piglets, and Daisy Dog's playing with her cute puppies. The more animals Dora visits, the more boring her eggs seem to be.

This rather chunky board book (there are other editions) is very sweet!

Dora the hen is very proud of her first clutch of eggs. Then, as she visits friends in the barnyard, she wonders if her eggs are so special after all. All the other lively animal babies seem so special, versus her still round eggs. At the end of the book her eggs hatch into adorable chicks, and she feels her babies are the BEST.

The only goofy aspect of this book is that, of course, broody hens must stay "setting" on their eggs to keep them warm, with just a brief break each day. It might have been nice to incorporate that into the story, but since this book is for toddlers, few people will care. :)

A nice book which teaches that animals have feelings, too. Adorable illustrations parents and children will enjoy.

She loves the repetition in both books. After only 4 or 5 reads she can actually read them herself. Awesome Read.

My daughter loved this sweet story when she was a preschooler. I just bought a copy for my niece's baby shower, and when my now-11-year-old saw it she got all nostalgic.

The storyline lends itself well to those mothers that have struggled with infertility.

A wonderful, exciting, and inspiring book, went above and beyond my expectations

Sweet story that has value to it. It's about this hen waiting for her eggs to hatch so she goes around the farm and sees all the other animals with their babies and thinks they are better than her eggs. Then when her eggs hatch she realizes they are perfect. Nice reading, no too easy for beginner readers but not hard either. Story time with it is 10 min or less. I recommend this to young ones 8 and under

The pictures are bright and the language simple and repetitive which make this book a favorite with my three-year-old daughter. Initially, we checked it out from the library, (she picked it out) and cried when we had to return it. She still mentions it and I am ordering it for her own library.
This is my 3rd copy of this book because the children wear it out. My pk class loves the story of the mother hen who is a little sad. Her eggs are not as exciting as all the other farm babies. But when they hatch she everyone loves them.
