The angels are mostly a device used to move Hannah in and out of various locales; the book is much more easily labeled as adventure or perhaps mystery. Once Hannah is in Australia, her mission becomes clear: she is to help a boy named Ian and a wildlife service employee track down poachers. The angels leave clues, and Hannah tries to follow through-with mixed results. Hannah's first-person voice is very readable, and the text is highlighted with her drawings and notes, which also move the story along.

Hannah doesn’t approve of her son’s sexuality, and yet she seems more in touch with her imagination and her creative side than many of the other characters-this means that Hannah is capable of changing her mind about things and broadening her perspective on life. In this way, Hannah comes to befriend Prior Walter, another openly gay man, in spite of her religious beliefs. The timeline below shows where the character Hannah Pitt appears in Angels in America. The colored dots and icons indicate which themes are associated with that appearance. Millennium Approaches: Act 2, Scene 8.

My children couldn't put this book down. They loved Hannah and thought the angels were wonderful. They each had their favorites. They loved how the angels gave Hannah clues but let her solve the problems for herself. My children ages 9 and 11 also thought the book was better than any they had read because the mission was important and Hannah, with the help of the angels saved a child's life. They learned alot about the culture of the country East Africa and new words. This is an exciting series. We give it a 10.

My 9 year old daugther (also named Hannah) just received this book as a present. She stayed up a little past her bed time and couldn't stop reading. I heard her laughing and she came in and told me what Hannah ---in the book---did next. My Hannah was very interested to see if the sick girl named LuLu got her medicine before it was too late. Find out for yourself and give it as a gift.

I am an 11 year old girl, just like Hannah and I loved her. I would like to be just like her and solve problems myself. She was so great talking to the angels, and helping the little girl who needed a special medicine. Hannah learned alot about East Africa and so did I. I like the angel Aurora and the angel Lyra best. I can't wait to read the other books from this series.

I THINK THIS BOOK WAS A REALLY FUN ADVENTURE, BUT HARD. HANNAH AND HER FRIENDS REALLY DID A GOOD JOB IN LOOKING FOR THE HEALING GREEN PEARL THAT MCHESI NEEDED.I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO PEOPLE THAT LIKE FUN ADVENTURE STORIES.

I have read this book so many times and every time I read it there was something I missed the last time I read it. It is a very good book definetly good for people who are doing Book reports or just reading it for fun. I have read every book of Hannah and the Angels that has been publushed, and this was one of my favorite. Great sentance fluency, and great Word Choice. It's about Hannah going to Kenya to help find medicine for a girl named Mcheshi....You have to read it.
