Our daughter LOVES this series... and better still, we love it as well. I scoffed when I first was told we were going to be starting a new series of Fairy books (the interminable and almost identical Rainbow Fairy book series soured me on the whole concept, at least after the first seven or fourteen of them). But it quickly became clear these were more than your usual little kid fairy books. This series is very well written and conceived, lushly illustrated, and quickly became books that we ALL had to be present to read because none of us wanted to miss what would happen next to Jessie, Patrice, Giff and Maybelle. We've taken to giving the first three books to other fairy-weary families whose kids are the right age (6-8) for these great books... we've brought back the faith to at least two other families.

I've read all seven books in this series to my seven-year-old daughter (we started when she was six). This is a favorite series which has maintained its quality from the beginning.

Now that she's in second grade and her reading skills are up to speed, she's reading her favorite Fairy Realm books to herself at bedtime.

This book has the same ingredients which make the series a winner: an adventure, a problem to be solved, and plenty of fantasy fun.

Enjoy!

The fairy realm series is wonderful for children who may be getting too old for traditional fairy literature. The stories are more complex and my eight year old could really identify with the human girl main character.

My two daughters love to read about fairies. Their school library got them started on this series and so they were ecstatic to find this book (currently not owned by their library). Thanks Amazon for a great find!

I must say that Jessie's 7th adventure had begun when Giff the Elf, cried out to her for help. It appears that the star cloak got ripped by accident, and it made poor Giff very upset.

Their only hope now is to find the fairies of Stardust Mountain, so they can fix the star cloak in time for Queen Helena's Wish Night festival.

My favorite part was that Jessie's wish came true-Giff finally returned to her and everybody else.
