John taylor is a good writer. He is obviously an intellectual and I appreciate that. The book is a good read but IT left me feeling sad and unaffected. I Hate that feeling after reading a book. Especially when the book is an autobiography. He clearly didn't value the work his wife was doing at home raising their daughter (with a degenerative illness) and moans about having to pay her support. I could keep writing but there's really no point. I do not recommend this book at all - there is no insight.
