This book is definitely not a serious one, and it requires some suspension of disbelief. The entire story is predicated on an impossibility - that a middle schooler would teach middle school - and readers who get hung up on that fact will have a harder time enjoying the story. Those who can get past that, however, will enjoy this unique tale of an unlikely friendship and two interesting young teens.
