Wonderful little book! The story is very simple & sweet, but the illustrations are just adorable and wonderfully imaginative! Beth Foster Wiggins is quite a talent. Definitely a favorite of my grandchildren. A true gem of a book!
DS luvs this book. The pix are pretty with a lot of things to see in each page... owl, fish, hat, elephant... and then after a bear floated out of the window IN his dream, he'd be around clouds shaped in objects in his room. I read to DS every night (20 months as of this review written) and I also teach him words and comparisons. Highly recommend this reading to a toddler. I bought this book at library for 25 cents... a great find.
This book features a bear that jumps out the window of his house and flies into the clouds. This is a very dangerous message for small children, especially if they live in a 2 story house or an apartment. This is nothing like Goodnight Moon (also by Margaret Wise Brown). In fact, it bares absolutely no similarities, that I question that it is authored by the same person. The illustrator is not the same. I will be returning this book.
