Giraffes at Home book. Illustrated by the prolific Quackenbush, his style is realistic and attractive. Other books in the series. Out Science (original) (1 - 10 of 156 books). As was popular at this time the book alternates b/w spreads with 3-colour spreads (using green, blue and orange for the palette). Provides a basic introduction to the topic. While not one of the best books in the series, Quackenbush is a fine illustrator and I love the colours. Keeping for my collection.

Giraffes at Home (Let's Read and Find Out Science Books). by Ann Cooke and Robert M. Quackenbush.

The Out Science Books series, originally published by Crowell, now HarperCollins, is an American children's book series designed to educate preschoolers and young elementary school students about basic science concepts. Many Let's Read and Find Out titles have either been reillustrated (sometimes more than once) or reissued under different titles. Some of these titles may be duplicates because of the renaming.

The Out Science Books series, originally published by Crowell . Out Science Books are designed to help him acquire this feeling. They are planned for the child who is eager to know. present basic science information. are written with an understanding of how children think. are brief enough for the young child to cope with.

Some of them have dozens of books in their houses and consider reading to be their favourite pastime. Other people prefer watching TV to reading books. Personally, I get a lot of enjoyment out of reading books. Our family loves gathering in the sitting room in the evening and reading books: fairy tales, novels, detective stories, thrillers, fantastic stories and what not. It has become a tradition and I'm sure it makes our family united. To my mind, books are our best teachers and friends because they have the power to educate and entertain us.

Very informative
Geny
This is a simple picture book about giraffes on the grasslands. We learn where they live, what they eat, their digestive system, prey, how their long necks work and the neck's role in mating. Along with the birth of a baby giraffe we watch how one is taken care of until it is ready to go out on its own. Illustrated by the prolific Quackenbush, his style is realistic and attractive. As was popular at this time the book alternates b/w spreads with 3-colour spreads (using green, blue and orange for the palette). Provides a basic introduction to the topic.
