The content of these (I ordered the Math one too) is not the issue. They seem to have lots of good lettering pages and examples to work on. I think the format of using the dry erase is more the problem. Our kids would use them and then forget to wipe off the dry erase and then it became a task for me to wipe (more like scrub) down all the pages. Obviously you don't have the reuse option with the standard paper workbooks, however my kids never really got into these as much as they did the paper workbooks. The other problem is that they would occasionally loose a cap and the marker would be dead in a day if I didn't find it.

Bought this for my 4-year old daughter b/c I wanted something that she could repeatedly practice her letters with. There are many (a total of 96) write and wipe pages for her to practice writing both capital and lowercase letters, as well as activities for her to reinforce her letter recognition. Beyond the first 96 write and wipe pages, there are 64 more pages of activities, as well as 2 pages of vinyl reward stickers, and a removable animal memory game. There are 3 markers included, which are nicely nestled in the back cover in their own storage box -- no loose pens to lose!! The book itself is quite big (like the size of a 1 1/2 inch binder), but has a sturdy hardback cover that should be able to endure the drops and rough handling of a preschooler. I'm looking forward to using this with my daughter!

My 3 year old really enjoys this book. The biggest draw is the dry erase markers. They are fun for him and easy for us to clean. When we work with him, he is developing some letter recognition and writing skills as well.
