This is a good little informative book especially for those who are not familiar with the Millennial Kingdom. It is dispensational, direct and clear. Campbell is one of the leaders of this form of theology and can be counted on to be honest. Buy this book and it will please you!

The Case for Premillennialism brings together prominent evangelical scholars who provide an exegesis of the key passages that discuss the millennial kingdom. These scholars come from a variety of seminaries and colleges (Dallas Theological Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Western Conservative Seminary, Brethren Biblical Seminary, Criswell College) but all agree in a literal and futuristic understanding of the millennial passages. This book provides strong exegetical arguments for a premillennial interpretation of Scripture. Especially insightful were the chapters by S. Lewis Johnson on the book of Romans and his discussion of the 11 instances Israel is differentiated from the church, and Hoener’s chapter on the book of Revelation, where he first surveys the history of millennial interpretation and how it fell on hard times (due to the gnostic teaching of Cerinthius, as well as Jerome’s problem with millennialism being too “judaistic.”).

This recource is a must for anyone who wants to study Eschatology, even if you disagree with the pre-millennial position. The arguments are water-tight and helpful.

A few reasons I really like this book:
1) They deal with the issue of hermeneutics.
2) They walk through the whole Bible's understanding of the Millennium.
3) They do not look for ways to bash and hammer other Millennial positions (something Amil, post-mil, and Historic Premil are all guilty of), but just stick to explaining the texts.

I trust that after you read this book, you will look forward to the coming Millennial Kingdom. SDG

This book was originally published by Moody Press as "A Case for Premillennialism in 1992. This edition is unrevised. There are 13 essays supporting belief in premillennial eschatology. Most are excellent. The summary at the end is very useful. The essay on Rev 20:1-10 contains the most complete account of the history of the premillennial system of belief in the early church I have found.
