I had seen this book elsewhere before I decided to buy it, so I knew that I liked the contents, which are lives of some little known Catholic saints along with others who are better know. The author writes as though he and I were having a private conversation. He informs the reader of the inspirational lives of the saints in the book in a very personal manner. I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in "Saint watching".

The book was advertised as new and it was delivered in pristine condition.

Gives a short description of saints. I like this book.

I wanted more specific information than this book provides: I was hoping the book would relate to the miracles of saints strictly over the early centuries of Christianity, that is, from about 50Ad to 350AD, not later. This is not to say the book was not interesting, just that it did not cover the time period I was interested in.

I loved this book. It told the lives of these saints in down to earth terms that you could really connect with. At the same time it also told about the miracles that God worked through these saints, explaining why or when God did these miracles and what the results were. I really learned how very practical God can be in working miracles through people to draw people closer to Himself. A WONDERFUL little book!

I can't resist adding what was on the back cover of another of Bert Ghezzi's book, "Mystics and Miracles: True Stories of Lives Touched by God", which is very similar to "Miracles of the Saints", except that "Miracles of the Saints" has chapters on Clotilda, Vedast, and Remi that "Mystics and Miracles" doesn't have, and "Mystics and Miracles" has chapters on Gertrude the Great, Blessed Padre Pio and Ignatius of Loyola, that "Miracles of the Saints" doesn't have. The back of "Mystics and Miracles" says, "When one of the novices in his monastery decided to give up the religious life for one of wealth and luxury, Martin de Porres did everything -- including pass through locked doors -- to convince the young man of his true call.

When given the divine gift of healing, Lutgarde of Aywieres asked God, "Why did you give me such a grace, Lord? Take it away, please!" Then she impishly added, "But give me something getter!"

"'Bert Ghezzi combines a wonderfully engaging style with real spiritual substance that feeds the soul. I highly recommend it.' Charles J Chaput, O.F.M., Cap. archbishop of Denver"

I can only say "Amen!" to the above paragraphs of these great books!

This book includes stories about the following saints in alphabetical order:

Anthony of Egypt, Anthony of Padua, Apphian, Catherine of Siena, Clare of Assisi, Clotilda, Dominic, Elizabeth of Hungary, Francis of Assisi, Francis of Paola, Francis Xavier, Joan of Arc, John Bosco, Lutgarde of Aywieres, Martin de Porres, Patrick, Perpetua, Remi, Sabas, Solanus Casey (Venerable), Teresa of Avila, Theresa Margaret, Vedast, Vincent Ferrer

This small book by Ghezzi has a short summary of true stories of lives of a few Saints. Or as he wrote, 'Touched by the Supernatural.' This small inspirational book covers the highlights of about twenty Saints. All with one thing in common, a great love and devotion to the cross of Christ and love for there fellow man.

It was interesting to read that many of the saints that performed miracles tried to hide the fact. One even asked God to take away their power to heal, for it was leaving not enough time to pray. These stories show us just how human these saints are. They are humorous, tender, fiery and at times at times exasperated. Anyone we have ever met could be a saint with the a deep enough devotion and love for Christ and others.

The back of the book has a small list of Saints and their Feast Days. And a very small glossary.

I have always thought Saints are millions of miles away from me. But this book gave me an understanding that saints are closer to me and that they are just like you and me with lot more love. This book gives you a confidence in life.
