After graduating from high school in Seminole, Texas, Jeff Pool completed his collegiate education in religious studies and philosophy and his first two graduate degrees in these areas of study. He and his young family then moved to Kansas, where he served as pastor of an American Baptist Church, before moving to Chicago for his doctoral studies in hermeneutics, philosophy of religion, historical and constructive theology, and theological ethics.
