character studio The character studio feature set in 3ds Max provides professional tools for animating 3D characters. You use the animated skeletons to drive the movement of geometry, thus creating virtual characters. It is an environment in which you can quickly and easily build skeletons (also known as character rigs) and then animate them, thus creating motion sequences. You can generate crowds of these characters and animate crowd movement using a system of delegates and procedural behaviors.

However, I had been wondering how hard it is actually animating using 3D Studio Max? .

However, I had been wondering how hard it is actually animating using 3D Studio Max? I have looked all over youtube and found a few animation videos, and judging by the legnth of those videos, I reckon it is one hell of a 'workhorse' (in other words, it looks like a 3 min video would take ages to produce). I have looked all over youtube and found a few animation videos, and judging by the legnth of those videos, I reckon it is one hell of a 'workhorse' (in other words, it looks like a 3 min video would take ages to produce). Anyway, the whole point of this question is to ask you experts out there your opinion on animating using 3Dsmx? Is it really hard etc. Thanks.

Creating animation with clothes - part 1. 08:21. In this lesson we going to finish animation of our clothed character and prepare everything for final rendering. Creating animation with clothes - part 2. 06:33. This video is a final result of our course. I am CG Artist since 2006, I began as 3d modeller with 3d studio max, and now I do mostly cinematics for games, advertisments, architecture visualizations, mobile games and a lot of other things. While working as CG artist I have learned a lot of different software in CG industry: 3 ds max, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4d, RealFlow, Vue, Maya, DAZ Studio and lots of plugins for them.

3ds Max is an extremely popular program for creating 3D animation. It’s a great place to start for beginners because its relatively easy to learn and there’s a ton of tutorials out there to help you get started. I’ve found some of the best tuts around the web to help guide your learning.

It has arrived today 27 march 2010. Was demanded: february 6 2010. IT LACKS THE DVD, and has come well sealed.
Even though so, I begin to read and study it and I can perceive that is very good Book.

While this book was written before realease 2 it still useful. The techniques discussed still work. The chapters on animal anatomy and movement are invaluable and can be applied to many other 3d programs as well. The book is a little outdated but anyone with half a brain can still make work for release 2, or any other 3d program for that matter. If you are a character animator this book is a must, regardless of the software you use.
