I got this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, and he loves it. It is "pocket sized" so it's easy to store in the liquor cabinet. They categorize the recipes by type of liquor used so it's easy to sort through and find a drink you are trying to make, or great to get inspiration from. My boyfriend is constantly playing bartender so I would recommend getting this for anyone who loves mixing drinks.

Yes, this guide is "brand specific" but just because it says to use Ab**** vodka does not mean you could not make the same recipe with Pop** vodka. Given that it is arranged by type of spirit, it is very useful for trying to find a new or unique drink with the liquor you have available. Some basic bartending knowledge is needed as there is no instruction, just recipies.

Ultimately, the book is little, and it does have cocktails. Otherwise it is a fairly useless resource which is more akin to a premium giveaway/cheap advertising vehicle for underwhelming products. The book has a table of contents arranged solely by product, has no index, gives sparse direction, spends 45 pages on variations for "Ab----t vodka drinks, then repeats much the same cocktails for B--fe---r gin, has zero! bourbon/whiskey recipes (aside from 20+ pages of CC recipes), and ignores the many useful fruit and herb liqueurs available to the cocktail maker. Pass it up.
