A small book that details the operational formations of the Luftwaffe. I found it interesting, but leaving me wanting more. For a modeller, it is a start. For the historian, it leaves you wanting. I recommend to those simply interested in a general overview.

Came in perfect condition and very quickly, and was exactly what I was looking for! My fiancé is obsessed with WWII planes, I was able to research some of his favourites and surprise him with my knowledge when one day I popped into his studio and stated how much I liked the Stuka painting he was working on

I'm going to give this book a decent rating,I enjoyed the detailed photos and the battle summary,if you're looking for a more thorough history of the Luftwaffe, then you should try some other titles,as a reference guide,it's great,I am going to get some of the other titles to complete the collection of this series.

Luftwaffe Squadrons by Chris Bishop is and ok book in the field of the german air force organization in WWII. But is confussing at times. The large number of profiles are over all good but many are taken from other publications and they suffer in the color deparment. There is very few things here that you are not going to find in other more elaborate and sometimes cheaper books. Is good for the novice, but no more than that.

I purchased this book looking for a source of colors and markings of Luftwaffe combat squadrons during their various years in service during the war. While a fair amount of information is covered, it was less than I hoped for. Had I been able to preview enough of the book, I may have looked for something more complete.

it is no bad, but simple fokus and camouflages ......just for the very first look to Luftwafe squadrons ....
Valawye
I bought it principally for its color illustrations and was not disappointed.
Great graphics, sorted per theater & period of war. Easy to read text.
