I will assume that the people who have reviewed this and say that the directions are vague probably suffer from some sort or reading and comprehension issue or disorder, because the directions are SO clear and stepwise I find it impossible to arrive at any other conclusion.

The directions are not only clear, but shopping lists are included (invaluable) and some pretty primitive -- but highly effective -- computer graphics show how to assemble each item. Each piece of PVC or construction material is COLOR CODED to a LEGEND which indicates what that piece of material IS in the SAME COLOR TYPE. How this is unclear is beyond me.

The paper is low quality, the printing is good, the quality of the book is overall, cheap. Do I care? NO. It's going to get pretty chewed up as I cart it around the shop while building this stuff. Do my Tervs care? NO. Should you? Up to you.

Four stars because the author really dropped the ball on the tire jump section. The rest of the book -- excellent. If you want a coffee table book because you'd rather talk about agility than do it, this book is not for you. Otherwise -- it is.

Gives a good description of how to build your own agility equipment from items commonly found at the hardware store. Save money and get sturdier stuff. But I don't understand why you cannot just glue much of the pvc pipe together (obviously you cannot glue anything meant to adjust.) I disagree with reviewers who say the direction are too vague; I found them quite adequate.

I have not built anything yet - no time between work and training 3 dogs with herding breeding. The directions are clear and appear to be easy to follow. All of my dogs are approximately 50 lbs each and the equipment is sturdy enough to not break down. My neighbor has a purchased agility set that is too flimsy for my dogs. Using the equipment in this book will help my dogs build their confidence and our team work.

The lists of "materials needed" call for 10 inch (") lengths instead of the correct, standard 10 foot (') lengths that the pvc pipe comes in.
It was probably caused by the computer Changing the input symbol (') to what it thought the author really meant.
Just a bit of a hastle, once you realize the error, but correction would make it easier for novices.

I have built jumps, tire jumps, pause tables, and currently building a teeter from the instructions in this book. It fulfills it's purpose as a guide for beginners as I am. However, be advised that it is essential to reinforce these agility obstacles much better than the author advises. My Aussie is 72 pounds and he can destroy these products from the book with ease. If you are working with a larger dog, make the equipment with durability in mind, reinforce strongly.

I bought this book to make some reasonably priced agility equipment for my miniature poodle. It appears to be exactly what I was looking for. While I haven't actually started my first item, I have read the book cover to cover and am excited to get started as the instructions appear to be clear enough and detailed enough to follow. I am glad to see that the author has addressed some of the issues brought up in previous reviews that I read. In the beginning I wasn't sure if I should purchase or not but am glad that I did. I gave this 4 stars because at 62 pages, some half filled with diagrams and photos I find it a little over priced. But, it does contain a wealth of detailed instructions. I would recommend

It appears to have directions for the equipment that I need and will save money in doing so. I bought this for my Kindle and should have purchased the best book. Looking forward to putting some of these plans together and adding to this review. As usual, Amazon asks for a review too soon. Don't they know that most people have a life and need more time to fairly evaluate a product? I dislike seeing reviews that say, "this looks great". "This IS great. Loved the clear directions. My project turned out perfectly!" ... is much more helpful.
This is a very good book for building inexpensive agility equipment using items that you can get from your local hardware store or lumber yard. Keep in mind that most of the equipment is built using a combination of PVC Pipe and Plywood. It has easy to follow directions and lists What you need for each project.
