A remarkable Turk indeed! This is almost the title of a biography of İhsan Doğramacı. Compiled from the book Children in His Heart, Youth on His Mind: Tributes to İhsan Doğramacı in Honour of His Sixty-Five Years of Service to Child Health and Education. One could just as easily have described him as 'a remarkable person', 'a remarkable human being' or even perhaps, 'İhsan Doğramacı: one of a kind'.
