I had to buy this book for one of my principal certification courses. I'm not a religious person and was reluctant to buy it. Based on the title, I didn't really see the value in studying a "religious" book to prepare for becoming a principal in a public school. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this book is full of great advice and wisdom for ethical school leadership. Yes, there are periodic references to religion in the book, but it's mostly about leading with integrity and a moral center - regardless of religious views. I purchased the Kindle version of this book, simply because it was the cheapest option. I will likely buy a physical copy to refer back to and loan out in the years to come. This is a great book and I would highly recommend it for anybody that is looking to become a leader in education or already is.

I had to buy this for a class. I will say it is one of the better books I had to purchase for my Ed.S program. The chapters are more conversational than technical. I wouldn't call this a beach read though unless educational leadership is your passion, lol
