Carl Frederick Tandberg (March 22, 1910 – August 26, 1988), was a bassist who recorded with Glen Campbell and Frankie Ortega. He was born on March 22, 1910 in Dorchester, Boston where his father, Thorvald Martin Tandberg I (1874–1970), managed a restaurant. Thorvald was born in Portland, Maine. Carl's mother was Alvilde Marie Naess (1875–1933) of Oslo, Norway. His maternal uncle was Alfred Næss, the Norwegian speedskater.
