This book brings together new and emerging perspectives on sustainability. Combining a series of well know authors in contemporary philosophy with established practitioners of sustainable design, it develops a coherent theoretical framework for how a philosophy of sustainability might engage with the growing practice of sustainable design. The previous data demonstrate the importance that sustainable buildings could have for sustainable development (Sev, 2009), and hence, they justify the necessity for ways to identify sustainable buildings (Parr & Zaretsky, 2010).
