Data in Science and Technology. Group IV Elements and III-V Compounds.
Data in Science and Technology. The frequent use of well known critical data handbooks like Beilstein, Gmelin and Landolt Bornstein is impeded by the fact that merely larger libraries - often far away from the scientist's working place - can afford such precious collections.
We hope to meet the needs of the physical community with the volumes of the series "Data in Science and Technology", forming bridges between the laboratory and additional information sources in the libraries.
Semiconductors book .
Thus a new series Data in Science and Technology has been founded which besides the basic data contains a full list of contents of the respective volumes the data were drawn from. It is an extension of the first volume on group IV elements and III-V compounds and contains data and further information about some hundred other semiconducting substances.
Semiconductors : group IV elements and III-V compounds. 1 Elements of the IVth group and IV-IV compounds. . Diamond (C. Silicon (Si). 2 Physical quantities tabulated in this volume.

Volumes III/17a-i and III/22a, b (supplement) on semiconductor physics and technology have been published earlier, the latter covering new data on the technologically important group IV elements and III-V, II-VI and I-VII compounds only. The wealth of further data from the last decade is now being critically evaluated by over 30 well-known experts in the field of semiconductors.

Physics of Group IV Elements and III-V Compounds, Vol. 22, Springer Verlag, Berlin, 1987. ABSTRACT: The equilibrium structure and the electronic properties of III-V zinc-blende AlP, InP semiconductors and their alloy have been studied in detail from first-principles calculations. A full-potential linear muffin-tin-orbital (FP-LMTO) method has been used in conjunction with both the local-density approximation (LDA) and the approximation (GGA) to investigate the effect of increasing the concentration of aluminum on the structural properties such as the lattice constants and the bulk moduli.

This book contains selected values of the thermochemical properties of well over 3000 mostly inorganic substances. Values are given for enthalpy of formation and entropy at 298 K. Using the compiled fixed Cp values or the Cp/T functions in the form of a polynomial, the enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy values at other temperatures can be calculated.
