One of the best in the series of Carb Addict's books by Dr. Rachel Heller and her husband. These books have helped me so much and I'm truly grateful for having found them. I'm not kidding when I say they have changed my life. I was a big carb addict, and getting bigger all the time thanks to my love/addiction for carbs. I've been following the low carb way of eating now for a month and I feel great. No more out of control cravings and eating everything in sight. I'm in my sixties and have tried all kinds of diets but this one works for me and I plan to eat this way the rest of my life.

This eating plan works for me. It is not the easiest to implement, but once you are used to thinking in terms of avoiding insulin spikes, it gets easier, so hand in there. I started this type of eating about 1990 and it has helped me keep my weight under control without starving. I ordered two books that are updates on the Original Carbohydrate Addicts Diet to see if there are any tweeks that will help me. When I have finished going through both of them, I will update my reviews.
