Denise Austins Pilates for everybody is ver difficult. I am a big fan of Denise Austin and own quite a few of her workout DVDs. I purchased this one after looking to take a step up from the yoga DVD I was doing. 3. Denise Austin Pilates for Everybody seemed very difficult and advanced to me and i have been exercising for awhile, may be my age. It Has a 7 min warm up followed by 18 min floor, 7 min standing leg,7 min upper and lower body, 6 min calming and stretching. I found it a little hard to follow her on some of the moves and found the pilates forms very difficult. The first time I attempted to complete the pilates DVD it was HARD.

The book I received had some cosmetic issues. Old looking book cover with some discoloration, small stains on some of the pages, ect. However the content of this book is awesome. Very detailed, informative, nice easy to follow pictures. Some times I can't following Denise's queuing in her videos but this book is a great read.

I started using this book in June 2004. I am 41 years of age and wanted to tone by body. I have followed her workouts in this book primarily using the 10 minute routines for upper body, abs, lower body, back, ball and resistance bands. My goal primarily was to one my body. I have dropped a full clothing size and lost 10lbs. I tell everyone I can about this book and the philosophy of exercise. I consider myself a very busy person, I am a mother, I work full time, but every weekday morning I find 10 minutes to do my exercises and it has clearly paid off for me. These results come from exercise. I don't believe in fad diets and have continued to eat food in moderation and control portion size, but I eat what I want. If toning up is important to you, invest the money and the time you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic book! Offers well explained and well illustrated moves, divided by the area of body one wishes to target. Bought it several years ago, and thus far have not encountered one better written/explained for/to someone who is no expert but who finds Pilates extremely beneficial.

THIS IS A TERRIFIC BOOK WITH SECTIONS CLEARLY LAID OUT FOR THE BEGINNER (WHICH I AM) AND THEN PROGRESSES INTO MORE DIFFICULT POSITIONS AND EXERCERISES IN AN EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW SEQUENCE. ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FROM A FINE SELLER. A REAL WINNER!

I am not a serious exercise fanatic, but I do like to try to stay in decent shape. I like this book because I can pick and choose the exercises I want to do, depending on how my body is feeling day to day. I also really like the diet section. She shows that it is easy to eat well and it's not so hard to lose weight.

if you want to learn Pilates then this book is for you...easy to understand with great photos. easy to follow. i think all of Austins books are great but this one is worth the buy.
Ive tried a few other pilates books and this one beats them all. It's in depth, easy to understand and even somewhat easier to follow along than some pilates dvds I've used.
