I received this first aid book about a week ago. Upon receipt, I began refreshing myself on several important emergency procedures, such as CPR, seizures, broken bones, and deep cuts or gashes.

I feel the book is pretty complete in its content and description of actions that should or should not be taken by the responder. The book also clearly points out when additional medical advice should be obtained.

Definitions are included, which enhance the value of the contents. Pictures are very detailed. Of course, I would like to see pictures in color, when appropriate, and larger pictures included, but that is just my own desire.

From simple medical first aid for rashes to more complex first aid for heart attacks and stroke, the book has far more than I thought it would ever have. I have recommended the book to several neighbors who have all inquired about the value of having such a guide.

The book has a number of good comments about Emergency care, however I felt is lacked some details about how to implement the suggested care. It is probably worth having to guide you, but you will need to think a little more about "how" to provide the care.

"Go to your doctor" is this books favorite phrase. A first aide handbook should have more than this book offers.
