I have now read this book two times. Tells their story so well and it's so fascinating that it includes so many of their letters to each other.

I am disappointed in this book. Previously I read Letters to Bess and wondered more about Bess as I read about Harry Truman through his letters. This book is using many of the same letters and seems like a repeat just written in a different format.

Very good book with lots of personal stories making it easy to view the President and family from a human point of view. Political aspects really showed how things were pretty awful back then, too. FDR=Obama.

I ONCE READ THAT MRS TRUMAN DID NOT LIKE TO BE CALL THE BOSS BUT THAT PRESIDENT TRUMAN ALWAYS PUT THAT TITLE ON HIS INTRODUCTIONS. I THINK YOU GET A REAL GOOD SINCE OF WHO MRS TRUMAN WAS THROUGH THE EYES OF HER DAUGHTER

This was a great book...well worth the money. Haven't been disappointed yet with Amazon.com! Started to read it the minute it arrived and didn't put it down until I was finished.
I'm a huge Harry Truman fan, but there's not much out there on Bess Truman. This book, written by their daughter, was wonderful. My only regret is that I didn't find it sooner.
