Had to chop up this book for our Thames Path walk so obtained another for our library. Just the kind of tidbits we enjoy reading.

I am fascinated about the history of Europe and was loaned my first introduction to Christopher Winn's books whilst in hospital recovering from surgery- I reluctantly returned the precious book to it's owner. I began searching for I Never Knew That About London ( the loaned book) with little success until I explored Amazon via Google---- then my life changed! I am learning so much about London and now The River Thames and all it's history. To think I used to believe history was just all about dates ?! ( 1066 and all that!) I'm now looking forward to learning more about the Lake District if I can with the help of Amazon.
