As for the stories themselves, I didn't really care for them. They were slice-of-life types mostly, and I prefer stories with more of a plot. But I think they are a good portrayal of human nature.

George Philippou Pierides (Greek: Γιώργος Φιλίππου Πιερίδης) was a Cypriot writer, celebrated for his cycle of short stories later collected as "Tetralogy of the Times" (Η Τετραλογία των Καιρών). Pierides was born in Cyprus in 1904. He grew up and lived in Egypt where he worked in the cotton industry. After World War II, he returned and settled in Cyprus where he worked primarily as a librarian.
