According to the mobilization plan adopted by 0. 3. 1939, Germany entered World War II, having an active army, which consisted of 103 field force formations. This number consisted of four light and mechanized infantry, as well as five tank divisions. In fact, only they had armored vehicles. They did not need to be quickly formed (as was the case with most infantry divisions), since they required only a slight re-staffing.
