Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site is a historic house museum located in the Getty Square neighborhood of Yonkers, New York. Originally the family seat of Philipse Manor, it is Westchester County's oldest standing building. Located near the Hudson River at Warburton Avenue and Dock Street, it is owned and operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

The Harrow Museum, known as the Headstone Manor & Museum, is the local history museum for the London Borough of Harrow in northwest London, England. The museum was established in 1986 and is located in the grounds of Headstone Manor, hence its updated name, and from autumn 2017 it will tell the story of Harrow through its collections, exhibitions and buildings, detailing the significance of the historical site in which it is set as well as the people and wider area.

The Sherlock Holmes Museum. I confess I was a little apprehensive when I visited the museum for the first time. Why on earth would I be apprehensive? Well, I grew up on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's wonderful stories, and to say that Sherlock Holmes was a hero of my childhood would not be overstating things. I was worried that the museum would have over-commercialised Sherlock and Watson, creating a 'Holmesian theme park' atmosphere.

Ashlar work in the Manor after the 1560s is of reused stone from St Mary's Abbey. The Huntingdon Room in the Elizabethan extension has an impressive plaster frieze with the arms of Henry Hastings, Earl of Huntingdon. The Stuarts stayed regularly at the Manor en route from Edinburgh to London, and in their time a new U-shaped building created the present, curiously irregular first courtyard. The 17th century Council Chamber is now the Refectory. The foundation in 1833 of the Yorkshire School for the Blind marked a new start. From the 1870s the Manor was gradually restored and enlarged by the architects JB and W Atkinson and Walter Brierley.

History The former manor of Harlowbury lies immediately to the north-east of the town. It was for a time a seat of the Addington family.

Old Harlow was known as Harlow before the building of Harlow New Town, at which point it was renamed Old Harlow and became a ward of the new town. High Street has an independent electronic component distributor, Post Office two Indian restaurants, a Chinese restaurant, a chip and kebab shop and a two daytime Cafés. The former manor of Harlowbury lies immediately to the north-east of the town. It was for a time a seat of the Addington family Transport.
