This was the philosophy Darren Bryce and his friends lived by as wild young men who cared nothing about the consequences of tomorrow because all that mattered was today. Narrated through the eyes of an FSU college student.

Fratire III continues the story of Darren Bryce's college life at Florida State University. Most of the stories in this book seem centered on Greek Life. Bryce is still involved with Allison, but he is also involved with many more girls. I've read the first three and each one gets better.

In his controversial memoir, Darren Bryce pulls no punches as he charts his struggle from an innocent freshman to an out of control upperclassman willing to risk everything, even his own life, to be popular.

Narrated through the eyes of a Florida State University college student, "Fratire" is the graphic memoir of a competitive party-college town where who you know, where you work, and what you look like determines your social status.

Manipulation, intimidation, and sexual conquest. These were the tools of prosperity in a competitive college town, or so Darren Bryce was taught by his experiences within the mainstream social scene of Tallahassee. In FRATIRE III, Bryce has risen to the next level of the social status pyramid but is still struggling to climb even higher in his pursuit of lust and power as he walks the fine grey line between having a girlfriend and being single.

Narrated through the eyes of an FSU college student, Fratire is the graphic memoir of a competitive party college town where who you know, where you work, and what you look like determines your social status. Bryce reveals it all: Greek Life, keggers, date rape, bar fights, racism, hazing, drug abuse, social pressures, wild sex, violent crime, steroids, and lewd drunken behavior. This is the true story of what really goes on at large college campuses in America, a behind-the-scenes no holds barred account of what happens beyond the closed doors of dorm rooms, fraternity houses, nightclubs, and the bedrooms of young men and women.

This is a good read! I'm Greek (graduated years ago) and could relate to some of the stories included in "Fratire." The book kept me engaged, it kept me reading, and I couldn't wait to get back to it after I had to put it down. In addition, the price is right - it was only .99 cents and that's a great deal for the size of the book. I am a huge Tucker Max fan (the creator of this genre) and while this book is UNCOMPARABLE to Max's work, it could loosely be considered as being in the same ballpark (kinda like sipping a non-alcoholic beer to bonging an entire case). I purchased the second book, "Fratire II," just before finishing this book. If you are looking for a smooth read, that will surely take you back to the 5 years you spent drinking your tuition money, you will enjoy "Fratire."

WELL, FOR SOME.....Darren W. Bryce gives a glimpse of college life, my guess is, a peak inside a segment at most majors and all party schools. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could and I will say I might read the two follow ups. BUT this is not great literature, it is fun in places, violent in others and very sexist in most. For what the book represents, a look inside the party people, it's ok, but not great. Recommended for limited reader base. Easily read in a sitting or two, no deep thought needed.

Not much expected; not much there.

Fights, Working out, Sex and Drinking....over and over and over.....Not even humerous.
Most of it is BS and not well researched, i.e. you can't shoot Testosterone with a 23 gauge syringe.
I'm all up for humerous and even autobiographical frat stories, but this is such a disappointing mish-mash of bravado and alcohol fueled courage that it stinks.
Stragely enough, for all the machismo the author displays, he goes in depth into the build and looks of all the guys (nothing wrong with that) and actually seems preoccupied with it.....
Maybe we need a few more alcohol related deaths or sexually abused pledges before this type of behavior stops being glorified.
Part two? I'll pass thank you.....

This is a funny and honest book about college life for normal guys. It is similar to Tucker Max books, but not quite as humorous as them. I would recommend for an entertaining and good read, not for uptight people though :)

If this is your genre, then it could be what you want...well written but just not what I was looking for

I accidentally found Fratire on the Kindle store and decided to give it a shot. I absolutely fell in love with it and immediately bought all 4 Fratires. These books can easily be Compared with Total Frat Move by W.R. Bolen and I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell by Tucker Max. Amazing books that quickly pull you in and captivate you with the characters. I would buy anything Darren Bryce writes from now on.
Jumbled mess of a book. Was hoping for better, should have listened to prior poor reviews. Read it all hoping it would improve but was continually disappointed
