Ludlum delivers consistently-an implied promise of intricate plotting, an abundance of fast and usually violent action described with great immediacy, feverish love passages, and, at the center, a strong and resourceful man on the run from superior but often shadowy forces whom he must elude, identify, and then counterattack and destroy. grand star
As I have come to expect, Ludlum's storytelling is magnificent; which why I chose "Great" to describe the "author's writing". However, I would rate the book overall as "Extremely Disappointing" based on the saturation of typographical errors throughout. They were everywhere. Who ever is responsible for proofreading the text in the Kindle Edition needs a lot of additional training or simply let go and get a competent proofreader even if you are now using automation, consider another method.

I have read many of Robert Ludlum' novels and can say with certainty that this is mediocre at best. It is written in such a way that sometimes it was a poorly translated manuscript.
The novels spends way too much time describing the main character' feelings, sometimes in an exaggerated flowery way.
The plot is not credible and tortuous in its own way.
If this had been the first of Ludlum's novel I read, I would not have read another.

I have read most all of Ludlum's book when they were first published, but I am disappointed in the editing of this one. There are so many instances of poor spelling, words left out, incomplete sentences and incomplete thoughts, that it seemed the book was a bad copy that had been translated from a language I was not familiar with. If you liked the original Ludlum and his plot development, this is not for you.

I am a Robert Ludlum fan. I love his writing. I am having a very hard time getting into this book. I have attempted 3 times, and there is nothing I can grab onto or that grasps my interest. It all seems very nebulous and/or unconnected. .

The story line etc was as expected .....delivered in a fast , entertaining manner.....HOWEVER the Kindle edition has far too many typo errors ......it clearly was not proofed before it was delivered ......disappointing to say the least

I always enjoy Ludlum's books but found this one a little less stimulating. The plot is always fantastic but it was a slower read for me than most of his books. I found myself being less interested in the pages between fast-paced action.
Michael Havelock, a U.S. spy with a tortured past, finally finds some happiness with a fellow spy, Jenna Karas aka Jenna Karasova. Unfortunately, he discovers that Jenna is a double agent, and watches her die for her betrayal. Preparing to abandon his agent-life and retire to become a teacher, he catches a glimpse of Jenna, alive, at a chance meeting in Europe. The chase is on, as he tries to track down Jenna and figure out why she's alive, and who was deceiving who.
Loved the book a lot and enjoyed reading it, especially the first half of the book, which was outstanding. The whole book was long and complicated, filled with many plots. 5/5 for its lengthy complex story.
