ago started to take for granted the lesser, unilluminated sights of Longwood Falls. She and Martin stayed out each night at least until the lights were extinguished. I read this genuine and loveably novel whilst traveling through Germany and flying to Sicily. I turned the pages one by one looking out at the mountains and palm trees outside the car. My sister was sleeping on my lab and I enjoyed the sound of her calm breath and the words by Grayson. Such a romantic novel capturing every grant of love.

Emily Grayson is the author of four previous novels, The Gazebo, The Observatory, The Fountain, and Waterloo Station. Would advise all Emily Grayson fans to read it! I will be looking for more books by her. She lives in New York City with her husband and children.

The Gazebo is an elegantly written story of enduring love and loyalty, in the popular tradition of The Bridges of Madison County and The Notebook. Once a year for half a century, a man and a woman have been meeting at the gazebo in the square of a small town in upstate New York. Martin Rayfiel and Claire Swift long ago married other people, yet they have remained faithful to their vow to love each other always

Smalltown reporter Abby Reston is hungry for a good story when elderly, but still hale and handsome, Martin Rayfiel walks into her office. Martin tells the young newspaperwoman of his lifelong romance with Claire Swift, and how they have faithfully reunited once every year at the gazebo in the town square. When Abby goes to the gazebo to witness the annual meeting, she finds a briefcase filled with photographs, letters, tape recordings, and mementos. It is a poignant and haunting chronicle of love and devotion that will profoundly affect the life of Abby Reston and touch the heart of everyone who experiences it.

This was a heart-wrenching reminder that we never truly know what goes on in another person's life, and especially in the stories they don't tell. Made me cry quite a bit at the end and want to give my parents a call and hear all the stories they'll tell.

This is a fantastic book one would think was written by NICHOLAS SPARKS!

Read in an afternoon. Was a fun diversion from reading STEVE JOB.

THE GAZEBO plucks heartstrings and makes the reader sigh with longing as the ill-fated romance between the two main characters follows its course. Rather a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, this book is sure to please readers of romance who don't mind their emotions being shamelessly manipulated. Put aside reality and your troubles and lose yourself in - THE GAZEBO.

What a wonderful story. This writer draws you in as do the characters. You don't just read, you become a part of the story as the characters come to life.Joy and sadness and tenacity. Have some tissues ready for the last two chapters.
