Robert Boyd Delano's storytelling is amazing. THE HAPPY IMMORTALS, from the action-packed introduction to the deeply moving ending, was a passionate and powerful page-turner for me. Arielle Immortal Awakenings is a quick, fun beach (or blizzard!) read. Great story line and interesting characters. More than a romance, I was happy to discover a touch of paranormal with a splash o. .thriller thrown in for good measure. I finished this book in two days because I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen between Arielle and Sebastian. Will they finally sleep together?!?!? Of course, the author left me hanging at the end, not knowing exactly what’s in store for the star crossed lovers

A friend from California shared this book with me during a visit here in Hawaii, I humored him, thinking "What do I know about a medical student from Oklahoma?"

Was I wrong? I was drawn immediately to the main character and the struggles with his father.

The book provides an earthy, sometimes-violent, romantic and masterful insight into the people who homesteaded the Oklahoma Panhandle, then survived the Dust Bowl and World War II.

If you like well-written historical fiction, especially with the postwar years as a backdrop, you are going to enjoy The Happy Immortals and the unforgettable story of Tom Bristow.
This book is spellbinding and gives the feel of actually being there as the characters live through the parts of their lives portrayed. Absolutely amazing.
