If disillusionment could be put into words, . Snow is more than capable of doing it. I liked the moments in which Miles describes all the minutiae concerning his career choices and relationships. It feels so personal that at times you become one with Arthur- lost.

The book won't serve as a definitive history, but is an excellent and enjoyable overview, very well illustrated with photographs. I had studied a lot of this stuff in some depth but still enjoyed it a great deal, and it would be an excellent introduction for the non-scientist.

An odd book that came and went in waves of interest to m. ery dry overall, dealing with the struggle of a young ambitious physicist desperate to make a name for himself in academic science. It is an experience to marvel at, slipping into Snow’s cool elegant prose, and then realizing, without ever having consciously noted its happening, becoming riveted by the story.

Excellent book. Hard to put down. Great history listen on the Jews also. Plus, the best part was how the Gospel was presented. Recommend highly. Helps to also put in perspective the small problems in life we encounter compared to those suffering for their beliefs and how God can strengthen us and will always be there for a believer. Very blessed to read this story.

I chose this book because of the Title and then as I started to read the book it really peeked my interest in the questions it was asking about Life, not the things that do not matter but about some of life's deep question. I would recommend this book to anyone that is searching for the deep answers to life.

This book is extremely well written, well paced and easy to read without seeming "dumbed down." It reflects the author's skill as editor for Israel My Glory. Inspiring demonstrating the providence of God.

This was a very interesting story both from a personal standpoint (autobiographical) and a religious standpoint--how a conservative passionate Jew became "enmeshed" in a Christian family and gradually began to seek new understandings of the God of Abraham.

An amazing story of one woman's transformation by experiencing Christ's love for her personally. She has a brilliant mind and a compassionate heart -- a winning combination as an author.

Lorna Simcox was born into a Jewish family. While her dad was an atheist and her mom was devout, one thing they agreed on -- and taught their children -- was that "Christians" (anyone who wasn't a Jew) HATED Jews. As a young adult working in an office she met and became very impressed with an older man who was supremely confident -- while not at all coming off as arrogant -- yet treated everyone with kindness. He noticed her and they eventually married. He also happened to be a Christian. While he wasn't particularly devout, his mother was. Lorna was shocked that she'd not only NOT be rejected by her new family when they discovered she was a Jew, but that she'd actually be warmly embraced. She was AMAZED that her mother-in-law talked to Jesus as though she knew him personally. (She did.) As she met more Christians like her mother-in-law she was forced to reconsider everything she believed from her upbringing. This is her story. It is a fun read. You'll enjoy it. You won't want to put it down.
Very compelling story with great insights about the tragic history of persecution of the Jews by the religious entities across time and how little the body of Christ likely has understood.
