Narim

I have been a keen reader of the noble dead sagas but these books by Barb blow them out of the water.

These are some of the best books I have read in a long time an once I started to read them I can't put them down.

This is the thrid in this saga and it doesn't disappoint it is equally as good as the second book. I did really find Simone very annoying an just wanted to though the book in frustartion but I guess thats what Barb was going for in her writing.

I couldn't wait to read this book, and it didn't disappoint me. It was predictable and you could figure out what was going to happen that's the only part about it that I didn't like. But I would recommend this book to my friends if they want something that is easy to read and very predictable. I would give it three and a half stars!!

I love Barb Hendee's books All the vampire memories series and the noble dead series. I started the Noble Dead series a long time ago and liked them so much I looked for other novels by this author. I found the Vampire Memories series and have put them in my favourites to be able to read again and again. Waiting patiently or not so patiently for 'Ghosts of Memories' to come out. I started my son on both the Noble Dead and Vampire memories series and now he is waiting also. He actually enjoyed them as much as me.

Another fantastic squeal to Hendee's Vampire Memories. I adore Eleisha and Philip's unique relationship, Rose and her brother Semus the ghost and last but not least Wade. Each book brings new troubles finding and convincing her kind to join them and stop the blood shed.

Simone is a new vampire that the group has found and try to bring into the fold, unfortunately her childhood and gift of envy has turned into an obsession. She's turned her eternal existence into a game in which mortals always loose, first by betraying their true love (not Simone), and then their life.

I truly enjoy this series. Once I start any of her books I can't put t down. I read an entire book from start to finish in about 24 hours. I just love Hendee's writing style.

There are very few vampires in existence today because they failed to abide by the laws of the elders such as not killing humans. Instead they should use their powers to insure the mortal they drank blood from forgets the incident. Eleisha Clevon lives by that rule and the other laws. She has gathered two vampires Rose and her protector Philip to the Portland underground, an abandoned church set up as vampire headquarters. Wade Shelfield is the investigator who has located vampires so that Eleisha can reason with them to diligently stick to the old laws and offer them sanctuary in her Oregon home.

Standing in their way is Julian who has notelepathy, but he likes power and ignores the ancient laws. He has killed vampires before and uses, without their knowledge, Eleisha and her group to take him into the hiding place of other vampires so he can kill them too. Eleisha learns about the dead vampire Maggie's progeny Simone Stratford and is determined to bring this Roaring Twenties ingénue to her home. She fails to realize that cute innocent looking Simone enjoys the hunt and plans a deadly game with her wannabe savior and Philip who she is attracted to.

Urban fantasy vampire readers will thoroughly enjoy the latest Vampire Memories thriller (see Hunting Memories). Eleisha is a good individual who lives by the moral code of the elders. Her vulnerability is being a Good Samaritan trying to help her peers see the light as she hopes to forge a law-abiding community. She is naive as her faith in her species is strong with her only picturing Julian as evil. Her protector was a predator for years, but now is there for her by trying to abide by her rules. However, it is Simone who makes the tale entertaining as she teaches Eleisha a lesson not to judge a book by its cover.
