Better than book 2 but she doesn't seem to understand her own character. Again, as an assassin she is weak and wimpy. I understand she's learning to have emotions she's never had, but that shouldn't make her a weak mess who can't fight or deal with danger seriously. Her demon has become a wimp more and more with each book not sure why this character that started great in book one has been dwindling down to a pet. Now she has introduced Brooke who becomes Pussy Willow who's supposedly a changeling, but doesn't change anything except his/her clothes to become a female. As a changeling shouldn't you just be able to become female? Why introduce a character who is nothing more than a trans human, instead of the fae changeling she's supposed to be? Hopefully this character is not in the next book. The characters need to be tougher and smarter to take seriously and Sabina seems to be getting dumber and weaker with each book. There was a good ending that I hope carries into the next book to make it worth reading as there's still something to this series I like, but jut not as a great serious should be. So, it gets a 3 star for an okay to good book, but not great, but much better than book 2.

I have to start with how much I love Giguhl. He is definitely flexible! He adapts and makes friends wherever he goes.

In Green-eyed Demon, the powers increase. Sabina finds new powers as well as discovers others with some pretty cool powers. The question is, which powers will be able to overcome the others.

Sabina tries to be the savior of everyone and can't seem to get over that and be a team player. She blames herself for everyone's circumstances and wants to fix them without screwing them up even more.

I wasn't crazy about the new characters introduced, but no new friend compares to Giguhl. He just takes the cake and I'm glad Sabina has him. She also has Adam with her. The secret she is keeping from him, just seems blown out of proportion. I hope he feels the same way. You just know he is going to find out, doesn't that always happen?

The final battle was awesome, and many lives will be changed forever. I really enjoyed the way the fight scenes were written. Just enough that I can get a good image in my head. You are not going to believe the surprise with Maisie. I was shocked.

If you haven't read any of this series and are an Urban Fantasy fan, I really think you will enjoy these books. I would almost compare them to Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series, but Rachel was one my first Urban Fantasy reads, and I've put them up on a pretty high pedestal.

I'm rating Green-Eyed Demon a 4 because the ending scenes just held so much shock and disbelief it overcame the fact that I really didn't care for the new characters.

The Sabina Kane series is quickly becoming one of my favorites and I loved loved loved this installment. It had everything I've come to expect from these books and then some!

Team Awesome (Sabina, Adam, and Giguhl) travel to New Orleans to find Sabina's sister, Maisie. She has been kidnapped by their grandmother and hidden somewhere in the city. Many new characters are introduced to help find Maisie and they are all pretty great. I especially loved Zenobia, Pussy Willow (PW), and Eron. New Orleans becomes a character itself and I think Ms. Wells did an excellent job with her descriptions.

Sabina grows up a lot in the novel. She finally realizes that sometimes it's better to have people that care about you than it is to be on your own. She has a terrific scene with Adam that I have been waiting for since Red-Headed Stepchild and she even grows closer with Giguhl. I loved that Sabina learned to use her softer emotions, but she still didn't lose her edge or her temper!

This novel starts off quickly and the pace doesn't slow down until the end. The final battle was epic, but I can't help but worry about poor Maisie. I'm glad Lavinia got what was coming to her though. Cain makes a brief appearance and it looks like he is taking over the reins of Big Bad for the last two books. I can't wait to see where Team Awesome ends up in the next books and will be picking up Silver-Tongued Devil (Sabina Kane) ASAP!

I enjoyed this book very much! I liked it better than the previous book, but maybe not quite as much as I liked the first one. In this volume, Sabina, her handsome Mage Adam, and her demon travel to New Orleans to try to rescue Sabina's twin Maisie. There will be lots of baddies to defeat in order to do this, including Lavinia, Sabina's evil vampire aunt and ruler of the vampire class. The great things? We have a couple of really interesting new characters. Brooks is a favorite and I hope he stays around in the future. Giguhl is at his best, both showing his sensitive and comedic sides to perfection. Adam, who I was never overly crazy about, really won me over for some reason in this installment. I think its because he really understands Sabina and doesn't pout over the small stuff. The action is intense and the investigation into Maisie's whereabouts were all done very well and it was a lot of fun. The book is much better paced than the previous one. As others have mentioned, Sabina shows a tremendous amount of necessary restraint and growth of character. She is honest with herself about her motives and I also find that refreshing for heroines in the genre.

A brief negative: Its been awhile since I read the second book and I felt like the book really jumped in. Sometimes we get too much information that we already know about our characters in subsequent installments but here I felt like I didn't get enough 'memory joggers'. Therefore the book was just a little confusing at first to get back into. The political relationships and dealings are understood by the characters to such a degree that a few times its apparent they 'get it' but I wasn't sure I really did.

Still this series is not to be missed and it really is one of my favorites on the market right now. This is a must buy for me!
