Alexander Broadie is Professor of Logic and Rhetoric at Glasgow University – a Chair once occupied by Adam Smith – and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. He holds an honorary doctorate from Blaise Pascal University (Clermont-Ferrand), conferred in recognition of his contribution to Franco-Scottish philosophical relations.
