The Rev. Quain, a Fordham University teacher and administrator, died yesterday, apparently of a heart . He entered the Society of Jesus in 1924 and was ordained in 1936, after which he studied for a year in Belgium. Quain, a Fordham University teacher and administrator, died yesterday, apparently of a heart attack, in Memorial Hospital. He was 69 years old. Father Quain had been with Fordham since 1941, when he joined the faculty as an instructor in the classics. in 1930 from Woodstock College. He also received a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from Woodstock in 1973. He studied classical and medieval literature at Harvard and was awarded his doctorate in 1941. Georgetown conferred a Doctor of Humane Letters in 1972. Published January 1, 1976 by Fordham University Press.
