I like tennyson, I don't love Tennyson. But the book is well done, organized. its an active table of contents. Anyone who is into Tennyson, or wants to find out if they are, this is the book for them.

Even when these writings have been created within the victorian period, they maintain nowadays its unique freshness and musical rhythm and color

the poetry of course is excellent. Perfectly written, the intelligence of Tennyson is crystal clear in his writing, one of the greatest poets ever. For me, I am not able to take too much at one time because it requires careful reading and thought. Sometimes I feel like reading a SF novel and sometimes I want something worthwhile - this is worthwhile!

Because of the format, kindle, it is harder to get past the historical.academics in the beginning.
Once you get past that, it's Tennyson.
Which is to say pure unadulterated excellence.
And of course the price is right. So the best. Offered for the best price.
Thanks and Peace be with Thee.

Looks like someone scanned copies of photo copies. The material is so dry and tedious to go through without it having to be physically hard on the eyes.
I knew the Charge of the Light Brigade but I now know many more amazing uses of the English language. Especially Ballad of the Fleet and Morte d'Arthur, Ode on the Death of Wellington, and The Miller's Daughter.
