A friend indeed will help a friend in need. Cry Revenge (Holloway House Originals). Daddy Cool: A Novel (Old School Books). So saying, I'd like to say my thanks to some friends of mine who have helped me while others turned their backs. At the top of the list is Levern Sawyer and his wonderful wife Pearl. Next I'd like to thank Brother Auther, or better known as Deek Reed. Also on the long list would be Kenneth Heggerman and his Lady Rickie. Last but not least, I'd like to say thank you to Frank Usher, better known to his friends as Frank Nitty.

After fishing for a month, he believed he had a drug addict who would set up one of the Mexicans. The dope was always good. Benson's partner, a young Chicano who was not known in Clovis, New Mexico, approached the car. He looked like a drug addict but was not. He was a square agent, yet of the school where he would snort drugs if it was necessary.

Young Curtis Carson doesn't mean to rip off the Chicanos in his backyard crap games. He just rolls the dice better. But the Chicanos don't see it that way, and when one of their brothers is brutally slaughtered in a barroom shootout because of Curtis' dealings with heroin pusher Fat George, the Mexicans cry revenge on Curtis, leaving his brother with a wrecked body that will forever prevent him from being the basketball star he'd always dreamed of being.

Another great read! Donald Goines is an amazing writer! Everything he writes is so raw, making me cringe at some points.

Wow, this book was from way back in the days and it was one of Donald Goines best. The end was like, "Oh Hell Naw" but you got to read it to find out what happened at the end. This was another good book to read.

Wow, this book was from way back in the days and it was one of Donald Goines best. Revenge story with a twist ending. Published by Thriftbooks. com User, 12 years ago. Goines brings us into the territory where tension between Chicanos and Blacks in a New Mexico ghetto runs deep. Don't be fooled by the cover because this is not a deep story about Chicano and Black racism towards each other.

This book was revenge at its best. The ending made my stomach hurt, but the book is very good. You have to really pay attention, or you may get lost, because Goines has many characters doing all sorts of things during the story. There was a lot of hostility between the Blacks and Hispanics from the outset, and it escalated as the story moved forward. All in all, another piece by Goines which is off the hook.

Just when I thought I've read all of Donald Goines books, from back in the 70's I find this one on the book shelf at the library. Wow, this book was from way back in the days and it was one of Donald Goines best. The end was like, "Oh Hell Naw" but you got to read it to find out what happened at the end. This was another good book to read.
Donald Goines is an author before his time. This book is very interesting, as well, as all his other books. Nothing but non stop action. It's hard to put this book down.
