The Stalker Chronicles (Urban Books). I can always count on Electa Rome Parks to deliver a fast paced, entertaining, suspenseful page-turner. I always believed we all have a little "Pilar" in us, even if we aren't brave enough to admit it. That's why I always say Pilar is misunderstood, but after reading this selection I'm leaning more towards CRAZY. It thrilled and made me laugh out loud. I loved the narrative and thoroughly enjoyed reading the dramatic events from alternating points-of-view which equated to a much more unbiased read.

If you want to read a true fire tit-for-tat story of two individuals who are supremely messed up in every way please cope Diary of a Stalker!

Pilar is the definition of "never trust a big butt with a smile" the chick is straight looney! Pilar plays no games when it comes to getting what she wants ... or what she can't have. Pilar could surely give Alex Forrest a run for her money in the crazy in love department. Xavier, though, he's definitely no angel. Xavier believes he can have his cake and eat it too and not face the consequences of his actions. Xavier maybe god's gift to his adoring female fans but he'll soon know tricks are kids! Even the supporting characters with in Leeda, Dre, and Xavier's fiancee Kendall are sequenced in effectively throughout the course of the story.

The character development, plotting, and writing are all well-formed, intriguing, and entertaining. Mercy, I was glued and engrossed in this book I found it hard to put it down! The book gives a whether enjoyable ending as it leads into The Stalker Chronicles (Urban Renaissance), I can't wait to read it to see where all these characters and the possible new characters fit into this wild, exciting, provocative, yet dangerous continuing story! Electa Rome Parks - I'm hooked!

Excellent book. The book is urban and adventure and psychological fiction. The storyline kept me on my toes, guessing about the lead character and her next steps. How psycho is she really?

Then there's the male lead in a reverse role. Male characters are typically the aggressors with female characters being pursued. The female lead in this book almost emasculated him, unintentionally.

In all, it's an excellent story with strong characters developed so well that you care about them. I finished the book wondering how foolish she was going to get. Can you imagine my excitement knowing there is a part two.

Pilar is back and she has revenge on her mind. It's been a couple of years since Pilar and Xavier has seen each other face to face, but that doesn't mean Pilar was far away. She has tracked his every move, even going as far as breaking into his home to watch him sleep. No one is safe from Pilar... and I mean NO ONE!!

Xavier is riding high off the success of his Blockbuster movie, Diary of A Stalker, but can't seem to shake his past experiences with Pilar. When strange occurrences starts happening to the people closest to him; Xavier begins to worry that Pilar has a found a way to sneak back into his life.

In this sequel, the readers are given more details about Pilar's childhood and the trauma she had to endure by the hands of a family member. If you thought you knew what Pilar was capable of.... think again.

I highly recommend this book.

After taking a slight hiatus from reading, what better way to jump back in the game then by blowing dust off a unread book from my own collection?

I'm indeed a fan of this author, having read several of her other works with anticipation of reading several more. With that said, Diary of a Stalker wowed me. It thrilled and made me laugh out loud. I loved the narrative and thoroughly enjoyed reading the dramatic events from alternating points-of-view which equated to a much more unbiased read.

I couldn't quite figure out who was more crazy - Pilar or Xavier. I would have been more intrigued by this book had it held a "fatal attraction" theme and not a simple-minded, sex-charged one where Xavier continuously welcomed and provoked Pilar's odd behavior by willingly running back time and time again even after it was obvious that she had screws loose. He never even questioned her relocation to Houston. That alone was a huge red flag. And he never knew she was practically living at his home when he was gone?

I was disappointed by the lack of intensity in the peak moments. I was hoping to read about an unexpected pregnancy (Pilar made several trips to the restroom during their "last" dinner.) or a fistfight when Pilar confronted Kendall at her home. Even an attempted murder would have been icing on the cake...anything other than the kinky hotel bed whipping Pilar administered on Xavier that he actually seemed to enjoy. This book had lots of promise and could have gone in a deeper direction, but the sensational dialogue made up for a plot that fell short.
