I bought an old house and I’ll be running it as a bed-and-breakfast. I’m calling it the Sea Glass Inn, so I’d like to have some art using sea glass in each of the rooms.

I bought an old house and I’ll be running it as a bed-and-breakfast. Do you have more of her work in your gallery? Her sentences ran together as if she needed to spit them out as quickly as possible.

Sea Glass Inn. Karis Walsh’s third book, excellently written and paced as always, takes us on a gentle but determined journey through two womens’ awakenin. he story is well paced, with just enough tension to keep you turning the pages but without an overdramatic melodrama. Lesbian Reading Room. Walsh tells this story in achingly beautiful words, phrases and paragraphs, building a tension that is bittersweet.

The Sea Glass Inn had all the charm and character of an old house, but everything was freshly painted and papered in bright, clean colors. The ocean was beautiful, and Ari had barely been able to keep her eyes on the road and off the rocky shoreline as she drove up Highway 101 from her home in the mountains of Northern California.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every Karis Walsh book I've read, and this one is no exception. Small picky detail that bothered me is that one of the mains is a smoker, which struck me as odd.

She sat up and stretched. After only a few nights with Mel, she had already changed her sleeping habits and had stayed on the right side of the bed rather than sleeping in the middle. After only a few nights with Mel, she had already changed her sleeping habits and had stayed on the right side of the bed rather than sleeping in the middle as untouched, the sheets still tucked in. Instead of the warm, rich colors of Mel’s room, she was surrounded by pale lavender walls and the glint of morning light reflecting off the sea glass painting on the wall. She stumbled out of bed and into the shower, blaming her edgy mood on the proximity of her painting. She was relieved to have a bed to herself again.

Only 1 left in stock (more on the way). Loved it! Love Karis Walsh. She captures the true flavor of the complications involved in such a lifestyle and just the right amount of romance.

After a life of wrong turns and lost hope, can true love be more than a bittersweet fantasy? Melinda Andrews arrives on the Oregon coast with a dream of running the Sea Glass Inn. Still reeling after an unexpected divorce, Mel believes she has missed her chance to find love. All she wants is to make her business a success and regain her independence. She locates the artist who inspired her move so she can commission more paintings for her new inn. Pamela Whitford runs a gallery in a small seaside town, planning events and supporting other artists while.

I read Harmony quite awhile ago and I remember liking it so I thought I would read another one by this author. Since there were so many positive reviews I thought this would be another read on par with Harmony. I was so very wrong. The majority of this book was the characters own inner dialogue and self introspection. There was very limited actual dialogue between the 2 characters and when there was dialogue one character would say something and then the next fews pages would be more inner dialogue before we get the other characters response. A few times I had to go backwards because I couldn't remember what the character had actually said to the other character when the reader finally gets the response. Take away all the self reflection/inner dialogue and this book is less than 50 pages. Also I found Pam a very unlikeable character. I have read in the triple digits in this genre and I have NEVER had a main character that I couldn't find something likeable about them. She was rude and selfish. Her inner musings made me dislike her even more. I wanted Mel to find someone else. Sorry I just can't recommend this one at all.

I definitely had some doubts while I was reading - the will they/won't they bit dragged out a bit too long given the lack of any real barriers to the relationship (Mel thought she couldn't get married because she was already married before? Whaaat? Like middle-aged people don't start new relationships every damn day?). I thought Mel was a fantastic character, though. Too good for Pam, whom I found extremely annoying. Also loved the setting; this book made me want to take a trip to the Oregon coast and look at sea glass murals. Just not Pam's.

The author is way to detailed for my liking. The story line was OK and the characters were OK, it was hard to finish as there was no spark in this story for me. The details about the art and the B&B Inn were just not needed to get to the story about the 2 women and whether they could get together. I have other books by this author and enjoyed them, this one was just OK.

The story is good but both characters are very whiney to the extent that it gets on your nerves and makes concentrating on what is happening difficult. Needs a big block of cheese with the wine!!
Clever
As well as a pleasant romance you'll learn a lot about sea glass - what it is, where you find it and what you can do with it. Cute, but...

I wanted to go to the beach as soon as I started to read this book - i will never go to the beach without thinking of the sea glass and how special it can be. what an inspiring book

this was a quiet relaxed romance. not my usual preference but I found myself changed by these women falling in love.
