Heat hadn’t thought getting married would change anything fundamental about their union

Heat hadn’t thought getting married would change anything fundamental about their union. She thought they would throw a big party, take a nice trip, and things would continue more or less as they always had. But Captain Nikki Heat, whose instincts as a detective were seldom wrong, had turned out to be mistaken in that assumption about her personal life. Getting married had lowered the last barriers between them, allowing for an intimacy like she had never experienced before.

Graham was one of the greatest seers and bargain hunters in Wall Street history. The book includes "Renaissance of Value," an address by Graham from 1974 that foreshadowed the bull market of the next decade; "Is American Business Worth More Dead than Alive?", Graham's three-part series in Forbes in 1932 that correctly heralded the deals on Wall Street at the time; and "Interviews with Benjamin Graham," three magazine articles about his musings in retirement after. 60 years of investing.

This is the book and movie version. See TV version, please go to here. Will Graham is a fictional character and the protagonist of Thomas Harris' 1981 novel Red Dragon. He is an FBI profiler responsible for the capture of serial killer Hannibal Lecter, and who is later assigned to capture serial killer Francis Dolarhyde. In both the text and film adaptations, Graham has the ability to empathize with psychopaths, an ability he finds extremely disturbing.

William Franklin Graham IV (Will) is the third generation of Grahams to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ under the banner of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Will is the grandson of Billy Graham and the oldest son of Franklin Graham. The first of Will’s crusade-style events-called Celebrations-took place in 2006 in Leduc, Alberta, Canada. He portrayed his grandfather, Billy Graham, in the Universal Studios biopic Unbroken: Path to Redemption (about Olympian and World War II hero Louis Zamperini), released in September. In October, Will’s first book-a devotional titled Redeemed: Devotions for a Longing Soul-was published by Thomas Nelson.

A former detective in San Francisco confronts the serial killer who got away.... and the woman who broke his heart. In 1985, Peterson Chace was the lead investigator for the Moonstone Murderer Case, a serial killer that held San Francisco in a grip of terror. Moonstone eluded capture and escaped justice in a brutal confrontation on the Golden Gate Bridge, leading Chace into a breakdown and forcing his resignation from the police department. Three years later, with a new career as a mystery novelist, Chace is drawn back in to the world he left when Moonstone reappears, slaughtering seemingly random victims and holding the city in a grip of fear. As the case progresses, Chace finds himself dealing with Mayor Sarah Westin, an ADA in the original case, and the one woman in his life Chace finds haunting his memory. In a shattering climax deep in downtown San Francisco, Chace confronts his demons once and for all, and learns that sometimes, the second chance is the one that counts....

Wow! This was a GREAT read! This book kept me on the edge of my seat as Peterson Chace hunted down the serial killer he thought he'd taken out years ago. But the killings start up again, and it's clear someone is not about to let Chace forget the gruesome case that almost did him in. Now they are playing games, daring Chace to find them. Wonderful characters, great emotional conflicts, a plot that will keep you guessing and an outcome that will leave you breathless! Don't miss this one!

Graham's Street Heat combines the street-wise feel of a hard-boiled detective novel with a modern sensibility that brings depth and realism to even his minor characters. The storyline -- of a former police officer confronted at once with the impossible return of a serial killer he himself killed and the unwanted return of the woman who broke his heart -- is taut and well crafted; it kept me turning pages long after I should have been in bed. I was especially impressed with Graham's rendering of protagonist Peterson Chace. The man I met in the opening pages had clearly been shaped by personal and professional trials and trauma, but he'd also taken responsible steps to make himself whole. I liked him. But as I learned more about his past, I also came to admire and respect him. He became what I always hope fictional characters become: a friend.

Street Heat is a perfect summer getaway book. Whether it's to help pass time on your flight, relax after a busy day, or give you an excuse for a lazy afternoon in the hammock, you'll want this novel loaded onto your Kindle and ready to go!

This is one of those books you won't be able to put down.

Chace, the hero, is recovering from facing down a serial killer of incredible horrors. His nightmares are so vivid they'll give you nightmares.

He a man who loves completely and has given his whole heart to Sarah, believing she loves the same way. Was he wrong?

The action scenes are described with attention to detail. Not too little, not too much, just right.

After the last page, you'll stare out the window and hope a sequel is in Graham's computer.

I just finished reading Street Heat by Will Graham and I'm pleased to say that I enjoyed it very much. It's not your typical thriller and Peterson Chace is not your typical hero. This main character has as many walls around him as the proverbial bad guy has- yet through the tracking and death of the sociopaths, he's placed on a journey of redemption. Couple that with a complicated relationship with a powerful woman and you have the ingredients for a good read. The only problem I've found with this book is that the sequel is nowhere to be found.........yet?!?!

Street Heat by Will Graham is a delicious romp through 1985 San Francisco. Peterson Chace, the former investigator of a serial killer, now writes best-selling novels while he tries to forget the woman that did him wrong. Mr. Graham has done a superb job of fleshing out Chace's character, making him a very likeable hero. I found the storyline entertaining and highly recommend the book.

A great modernization of the classic detective story. Likable characters that ring true, not stereotypes, with a modern twist. You want the romance to work out, you know the bad guy is going to lose, and it is all a page turner. A worthy addition to your library. I will be looking for more from Mr. Grahm
