Each of Antonia Fraser’s four Jemima Shore mysteries has enlarged the audience for that redoubtable and . It was my first Antonia Fraser book, and I loved it. I read a few others in the series, but Cool Repentance is still the one I enjoyed most.

Cool Repentance book. I love the riveting popular history and biography books written by Lady Antonia Fraser, especially ROYAL CHARLES and THE WEAKER VESSEL. More than that, I love the idea of Lady Antonia Fraser - a stunningly beautiful English aristocrat who writes mystery novels for fun. But whenever I pick up one of these books I'm just, I don't know, bored to death within about ten pages.
